At Wheaton, career success does not happen by accident, it happens by design. Our four-year plan maps out learning goals and expectations for each year, placing strong emphasis on your three summers to “try on” potential careers. You will learn how to strengthen your knowledge of career fields, create effective resumes and cover letters, identify and apply for internships and jobs, and secure summer and post-graduate funding through one-on-one advising, career development workshops, alumnae/i career panels and networking events. You will graduate with skill sets that include critical and creative thinking, effective oral and written communication, problem solving and the capability to work collaboratively. Most importantly, you will be able to produce evidence of your ability to apply these skills to any number of practical experiences.
We will help you find your passion, articulate and exhibit your strengths and abilities and then apply those strengths as you seek internships, employment or enroll in graduate/professional school, recognizing the connections between liberal arts education and life beyond Wheaton.
