The Wheaton men's and women's cross country teams finished the 2009 slate at the NCAA Division III New England Championship on Saturday afternoon, as the meet took place at the Twin Brook Recreation Center and was hosted by Southern Maine.

Eleven Wheaton student-athletes were named to the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference team for the fall of 2009. Student-athletes receiving the award must maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or better upon completion of the 2009 spring semester, attain at least a sophomore year standing and be a competing member of a varsity team for the entire season.

The Wheaton men's soccer team, which is tied for 18th in the NSCAA national poll and sits third in the New England rankings, saw its season come to an end on Sunday, as the second-seeded Lyons finished with a 2-1 mark during the NEWMAC Tournament after falling in the championship game at number-one Babson, 2-1.
