History of Wheaton College
Since 1835, Wheaton has opened its doors to individuals seeking a higher education. First established by Judge Laban Wheaton as a living memorial to his deceased daughter, the school has undergone major transformations. Initially a female seminary, Wheaton soon developed into an all women's college in 1912, and finally a coeducational liberal arts college in 1988.
