Senior Week

Senior Week is a week-long celebration in honor of you. Held in the spring between the end of final exams and before Commencement, it is also during this week that seniors continue a wide variety of traditions. All social events planned by the class council are for SENIORS ONLY. The only event where guest are allowed is the Senior Ball at Rosecliff and the day-trip into Boston.

In addition, there are many smaller departmental gathering. Be sure to pay attention for invitations to receptions, programs, etc.

Monday, May 16th 

11:30 a.m.- Senior Thesis Parade, The Dimple

12:- 1:30 p.m.- White Glove Brunch, Emerson Dining Hall (RSVP required - No Charge)

1:30 p.m.- Senior Class Wheaton Traditions
Senior Class Photo, Library Steps
Hoop Roll, The Dimple
Senior Tree Planting

5:30 p.m.- Disorientation Bus Check-in, Mars Science Center Cafe
Senior Class Trip to undisclosed location ($25 per person ~ dress is casual) - SENIORS ONLY/ALL MUST TAKE THE BUS

There will be music, entertainment, games, food and a cash bar(beer & wine) Bring your ID

Tuesday, May 17th

11:30 a.m. - Day Trip to Boston ($10 per person/round trip)

7 p.m. - Buses return from Boston

9 p.m. - Class Bonfire & Jam, Meadows Fire Pit (in case of rain, Balfour-Hood Cafe)

11 p.m.- 1 a.m. - Lyons Den Game Night

Wednesday, May 18th 

5:15 p.m.- Rosecliff Buses Check-in, Mars Science Center Cafe ($15 per person/round trip)

6 p.m.- Rosecliff Buses Depart, Outside Science Center Cafe

7 p.m.- 11 p.m.- Senior Class Ball, Rosecliff Mansion, Newport, R.I.($75 per person, seniors may bring 1 guest ~ dress is formal) Bring your ID

Midnight - Rosecliff Buses Return to Wheaton

Thursday, May 19th

1:30 - 5 p.m. - Senior Class Service Activity - Volunteer at Give & Go! (Pick a shift: 1:30-3:30 pm or 3-5 pm)

6--8 p.m. - Senior Class BBQ  Library Green (Rain:Balfour-Hood Campus Center)
Join the "Big Kids" Party; Lots of fun activities for the forever young, this could be the last time you blow bubbles before your leave the "Bubble" Bring your ID

11 p.m. - 1 a.m. Late-Night Munchies and Madness (tbd)

Friday, May 20th

9:30 a.m.- Commencement Rehearsal, Haas Athletic Center
Mandatory for ALL seniors!

5 p.m. -6 p.m.- Class of 2016 & Families Commencement Reception, Hood Courtyard (Between Watson & Meneely)
(Rain: Mars lobby)

5:30 p.m.-8 p.m.- Class of 2016 Dinner Buffet (sold by Dining Services in its office in Emerson)

9:30 p.m.- Candlelighting Ceremony, Peacock Pond 
Float your first-year candle or get a new one. spend a few minutes reflecting on your time at Wheaton and listen for 16 bells!

10 p.m.- 1 a.m.- The Last Call: Senior Pub Night, Cafe & Sundeck, Balfour-Hood Campus Center
2016 hangs out together for one last time with plenty of refreshments, great company & Karaoke memories! There is no better way to kick off the summer than with your class. 

Saturday, May 21st

9 a.m.- Commencement Line-up, Everett Courtyard

10 a.m.- Commencement, The Dimple

12:15 p.m. Commencement Reception, Dimple-Library Green


The Senior Class of 2016 Officers would like to remind you of the following:
*For all Senior Week events, Wheaton is not responsible for any lost or damaged items and personal injuries. In addition, the Wheaton Honor Code applies to all students until May 21st, including on and off campus events and transportation. If you are found in violation of the Honor Code you will be held accountable, pay any fees, and asked to leave the event. Furthermore, it may be determined that you cannot attend any remaining Senior Week events (no refunds) and/or have the privilege of participating in Commencement.
