Go Lyons! Wheaton’s athletics programs help shape well-rounded students who excel both on the field and in the classroom.
The Wheaton Fund supports the college’s 19 men and women’s teams, as well as intramural and club sports—giving students opportunities to make their mark and compete to their potential. These programs encourage personal development by promoting leadership, teamwork, discipline, perseverance, camaraderie and spirit.
The fund does a little bit of everything, from helping teams cover transportation costs, to funding necessary upgrades so students can play and practice in state-of-the-art facilities and on well-maintained fields like the Diane C. Nordin ’80 Turf Field.
Wheaton Fund dollars also help secure our membership to the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference; attract and retain top-rated coaches who bring out the best in our student-athletes; contribute to camaraderie-boosting team events; help us put on a wonderful Homecoming; and allow us to celebrate the legacy of our players through the Wheaton College Athletics Yowell Hall of Fame.
