Education

The non-licensure Education Minor will deepen your understanding of educational policies, practices and research, preparing you for careers in education, social services, counseling, or any field working with children or diverse groups. It also builds valuable skills in communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking—which are in demand across all industries.

The Education Minor pairs well with any of our majors across the Sciences, Arts, and Humanities. It will broaden your perspective on how education intersects with healthcare, business, visual and performing arts, and social services, increasing your versatility.

Additionally, the Education Minor prepares you for graduate programs and positions in fields that work with children and communities, where teaching certification is not required. It can open doors to future careers in counseling, mentorship, educational research, advocacy, nonprofit work, curriculum design, public policy and more.
