Wheaton teams in top seven at ECACs, athletes reach six NCAA marks

During their final chance to qualify for next week's NCAA Championship, Wheaton track & field athletes combined to reach six provisional standards while breaking two school records at the two-day ECAC Championship, which came to an end on Friday at Springfield's Blake Track.

The Wheaton baseball team had at least three players tabbed to a NEIBA all-region team for the fifth consecutive season, as seniors Nick Pecora and Josh Simmons and sophomore Sean Munley picked up regional honors for the first time in their careers.

Wheaton's Ibric featured in exhibit at reopened NCAA Hall of Champions

Wheaton track & field junior Merzudin Ibric, who fled a war-torn Bosnia in the late 1990s, is one of 23 athletes from Divisions I, II and III featured in a permanent exhibit at the NCAA Hall of Champions, which was renovated before reopening on March 12 in Indianapolis.

ECAC DIVISION III TOURNAMENT - Wheaton uses big run to rush past Becker in opening round

Eleven different players scored for the second-seeded Wheaton men's lacrosse team on Wednesday, as the Lyons overcame an early deficit with 19 straight goals during a 24-4 victory over number-seven Becker in the first round of the ECAC Tournament in Mirrione Stadium.
