Finding and fixing your site's broken links

Posted on April 22, 2013

When it is time to do some spring cleaning on your departmental site, let WordPress do the heavy lifting:

  1. Launch your browser and sign into your site.
  2. Visit its Dashboard.
  3. Select Tools -> Broken Links.
  4. WordPress will find and display your site's broken links (if any) in a list.
  5. Review and edit each broken link.

The "Broken Links" tool is a convenient and efficient way to keep your site healthy. We recommend that you check it regularly. As always, please contact us if you have any questions.
