Interested in community service? Political activism? Spiritual exploration and interfaith dialogue?

577447_10151771987698182_972076960_n Service, Spirituality, and Social Responsibility (SSSR) is the umbrella under which these three distinct areas of programming flourish on the Wheaton campus.

What's the connection between the "three S's"? They are all ways Wheaton students explore, articulate and live their values and find their own unique place in the world.

Located on the ground floor of the Cole Memorial Chapel, the Office of Service, Spirituality and Social Responsibility (SSSR) supports both curricular and co-curricular programming that encourages students to reflect upon their actions, values and beliefs and on the ways these impact their own intellectual development, the people around them and the communities of which they are a part.

SSSR can help you:

  • research local volunteer opportunities
  • find a local church or synagogue
  • create a campus-wide program related to service, spirituality or social justice
  • meet other students who share your interest in civic engagement
  • connect with other members of your faith tradition or learn more about what others believe
  • explore the ways your beliefs and values are changing as a result of your college experiences

To set up an appointment, email sssr@wheatoncollege.edu or dig into our web site to learn more about what our students have done and to explore what we might accomplish together or stop in to look around, chat, and see what we are all about.
