Library Open House and Tours.10 a.m.–1 p.m.
The Madeleine Clark Wallace Library will be open for tours. Refreshments will be served. LIS Technology Support and network connection assistance will be available. Please call 508-286-3900 for assistance. (Wallace Library)

New Student Check-In.10 a.m.–1 p.m.
Pick up a program and registration packet, confirm health records, and have an ID picture taken (if you did not send a photo in advance). (Atrium, Balfour-Hood Campus Center)

Wheaton Welcome Activities. 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
This is it! You're official, now it's time to jump into action! Pick up your class t-shirt, meet local and campus vendors, learn about services and campus happenings, register to vote and have a little fun! (Dimple; in case of rain, Emerson Dining Hall)


Lunch. 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
Take a break from the hard work of moving in and getting settled. (Chase Dining Hall)


Presidents' Welcome.1:30 p.m.–2:30 p.m.
A formal welcome to students and families from College leadership; President Dennis Hanno, Vice President for Enrollment Grant Gosselin, Provost Renee White, Dean of Students Kate Kenny, and Student Government Association President Mary Sasso. This is the first official gathering of new students, and a chance to experience a glimpse of Wheaton tradition you don't want to miss. (Dimple; in case of rain; Haas Athletic Center)


Break Time.2:30 p.m.–2:45 p.m.
Parents and students go their separate ways until the President’s Reception at 5 p.m. Families who need to say their goodbyes early may do so at this time.


Advising/Transfer Team Meeting #1.3 p.m.– 5 p.m.

Bring your white advising folder and your fall schedule to this first gathering with your First-Year Seminar classmates and preceptors. Get acquainted, complete the new student survey, review fall registration and arrange advising appointments with your faculty advisor. Preceptors will answer questions about orientation, clarify student responsibilities and assist in preparation for faculty advising meetings. Meet in your advising team meeting location, listed on your your folder.


Send-Off Reception.5 p.m.–6 p.m.
President Hanno, faculty and administrators greet new students and families before parents and families depart. (President's Garden; in case of rain, Lobby, Watson Fine Arts)


Dinner.6 p.m.–7 p.m.
Chase Dining Hall

New Commuter Student Meeting. 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Explore the many resources available on campus that you will find particularly helpful as a commuter. Meet with upperclassmen who can help you navigate campus as a commuter student and end the meeting by joining up with a residential community meeting. (Chase Small, Chase Dining Hall)


Community Meeting: Living@Wheaton. 7 p.m.–8 p.m.
Meet with your Resident Advisor in your residence hall to discuss building a positive residential community at Wheaton.


Lyons Pride.8 p.m.–8:30 p.m.
Students gather in their quads and proceed to Cole Memorial Chapel for the Candlelighting Ceremony. Class of 2021, be sure to wear blue, your class color! Transfer students, your class colors are yellow for the Class of 2019 and green for Class of 2020. (Cole Memorial Chapel)

Candlelighting Ceremony.8:30 p.m.–10 p.m.
A time-honored Wheaton tradition. The Class of 2021 and new transfer students will be welcomed with campus ghost stories and traditions, followed by the lighting of candles around The Dimple. (Cole Memorial Chapel)


Campus Lingo & Bingo. 10 p.m.–Midnight
Enjoy some food and play bingo while engaging with current student leaders and members of various groups on campus to get all new insights on Wheaton. Don’t forget, you could win some prizes too! (Emerson Dining Hall)

Healthy Living 101. 10 p.m.–Midnight
Join current students about to learn about healthy living, useful tips and a DIY life and campus hacks tutorial! Relax and enjoy a yogurt station and snacks! (Meadows Center, Meadows Hall)
