Vacating Student Housing Upon Change of Status
Students must vacate campus housing within 48 hours of a change in their enrollment status from fully enrolled to Leave of Absence (Medical, Administrative, Dean's), Suspension, Dismissal, or Withdrawal (Voluntary, Academic, Disciplinary) from the College. If there are special circumstances that prevent students from vacating their housing, they must contact the Office of Residential Life to obtain approval for an extension.
If students fail to vacate their housing within the 48 hour period and fail to contact the Office of Residential Life to obtain approval for an extension, their belongings will be packed by the building services staff and their accounts will be charged for the packing and cleaning of the room. The students' belongings will be placed in student storage for the remainder of the academic year after which they will be disposed of.
Wheaton College assumes no liability for students' belongings either in the packing process or while in storage.
