Like many of my colleagues, I was interested in politics from a very young age. It was my unfilled career goal to become a foreign service officer for the US State Department. Instead, I received a Ph.D. in political science focusing on the study of the Chinese and Russian political systems. After over two decades at Wheaton, I remain inspired by the energy, interest, and motivation of our majors, who make teaching an intellectually rewarding experience.
