Set in stone: the legacy of Lincoln

A recent Wheaton graduate and his father are coauthors of a new book about the evolution of Abraham Lincoln scholarship and the growing misunderstanding of the president’s moral legacy.  The book, Looking for Lincoln: The Making of an American Icon (Knopf, 2008) was written by Peter W. Kunhardt, Jr. ’05;  Peter W. Kunhardt P’05, ’09; and Philip B. Kunhardt III and reviewed in the Oct. 13 issue of The New Yorker. (The  Kunhardt family has been involved in Lincoln collecting and scholarship for five generations, according to reviewer Thomas Mallon.)
