Meet the Staff
Raquel Ramos, Associate Dean/Director
Dean Ramos provides leadership and supervision of the Marshall Center. She coordinates the services provided by the Center staff, developing appropriate resources and support for academic, cultural, and social programs fostering awareness and appreciation of diversity at Wheaton. Raquel collaborates with the Provost and Student Affairs divisions on the development of college-wide diversity initiatives and inclusion of issues of diversity across the curriculum. She also keeps a working relationship with the Advising Center and works with faculty members on students' academic planning and programming.
Brendon Soltis, Area Coordinator and ancillary Marshall Center for Intercultural Learning
Brendon develops programming for the Marshall Center and helps to support student-run clubs, in alignment with Dean Ramos’ campus wide diversity initiatives. He particularly focuses on supporting men of color on campus. He also helps advise Between the Lines, an Intergroup Dialogue program. In addition, Brendon also works in Residential Life as the Area Coordinator for Young, McIntyre, and Clark Halls.
Kelsey Andrade, Assistant Director of International and Intercultural Programs
Kelsey’s position is a dual report to the Marshall Center and the Center for Global Education. Her primary responsibility is to provide support and resources for educational, cultural, and social programs fostering awareness and appreciation of global and domestic diversity. She advises intercultural and international clubs, provides support for students to aid with acculturation and successful integration into the Wheaton College community.
Carolyn Hart, Administrative Assistant
Carolyn is responsible for all the general office duties for the Marshall Center. She provides budget management, support for the various programs including Intercultural Pre-Orientation, assists with events, and provides general support for the staff at the Marshall Center. Carolyn is also responsible for the hiring, training and supervising of student workers.
