Teaching Interests

Quantitative Research Methods, Cognition, Cognitive Lab, Learning and Memory, and Brain, Mind, and Behavior.

Research Interests

My research interests center around music and cognition. I study the effects of preferential music listening on cognitive abilities in experienced adults and creativity in college students. I use electroencephalography (EEG), which measures voltage changes in the brain to understand cortical mechanisms associated with music-based improvements.  I am also interested in the science of teaching.
