SUMMARY:Prospects for South Korea-Japan Cooperation for the International Order
DESCRIPTION:Prospects for South Korea-Japan Cooperation for the International Order\nLeif-Eric Easley\, Associate Professor of International Studies\, Ewha Womans University (Seoul\, South Korea)\n\nMonday\, March 20\, 5:00 PM\nWoolley Room\, Mary Lyon Hall\n\n\n\nNorth Korea’s nuclear missile threats and China’s regional assertiveness make coordination between South Korea and Japan more critical than ever. Although relations between South Korea and Japan have often been strained over history\, they are better managed than either side is given credit. His research interests include contested national identities and changing levels of trust in the bilateral security relationships of Northeast Asia. He is actively involved in U.S.-Asia Track II diplomacy\, including with the Asan Institute for Policy Studies. His research has appeared in a variety of academic and policy journals\, supplemented by frequent analysis in major newspapers.\n\nIndividuals with disabilities requiring accommodations or information on accessibility should contact Jonathan Chow: chow_jonathan@wheatoncollege.edu

SUMMARY:Salary Negotiations with Robbin Beauchamp
DESCRIPTION:Planning on getting serious about job and internship applications over spring break? Then you might find yourself negotiating an offer from an employer—about salary\, benefits\, time off\, remote work\, and more—sooner rather than later. If the idea of negotiating an offer with an employer sounds intimidating or uncomfortable to you\, you’re not alone. But don’t despair! Negotiation is a skill that improves with practice and preparation\, and it pays* to start thinking about it early. Join us and guest speaker Ms. Robbin Beauchamp\, Director of the Center for Cooperative Education & Career Development at Wentworth Institute of Technology\, for a conversation on negotiating a competitive salary\, understanding benefits and time off\, and ensuring you get the best of both.
