DESCRIPTION:The design capstone is a chance for senior design majors to apply their knowledge and skills to a topic and situation of their choice. Posters show and explain what students investigated and why\, steps they took to add depth to their understanding and how they responded with design concepts through sketches\, diagrams\, prototypes and mockups. \nIt features work by: Alicia Chang\, Sofia Collina\, Lucia Flaumenhaft\, Louise Groover\, Colton LaBrecque\, Bobbie Lester\, Reka Moscarelli\, Taly Nudelman\, Rebekah Roth\, Jill Ryan\, Reese Staples\, Hailey Tice\, Alison Tremblay\, Ahaan Verma\, Samzok Wangdi and Pear Wongwatanawisut. \nPlease note: the capstone is on display and viewable when the Watson Fine Arts Building is open.

SUMMARY:2025 Honors Convocation
DESCRIPTION:Please join President Whelan\, Provost Jonathan Millen\, and Darnell Parker\, Vice President of Student Affairs\, at Honors Convocation on Thursday\, May 1 at 5:00 p.m. in Cole Memorial Chapel. Honors Convocation is an annual celebration to acknowledge excellence in academic and intellectual pursuits. \nDepartmental and College awards will be presented to students who have distinguished themselves as scholars and academic citizens of Wheaton College. Jema Espinosa\, Class of ’25 Chair\, will present the Faculty Appreciation Award and Provost Jonathan Millen will announce the recipient of this year’s endowed honorary professorships. \nThe lineup for the procession begins promptly at 4:45 p.m. College Marshals Stephanie Daniels and Russell Williams will line up the Faculty (in regalia) in front of Knapton Hall and Seniors (in robes) in front of the Chapel. (Inclement weather: Faculty will line up in the lower level of the Chapel and Seniors will line up in Balfour-Hood). A campus BBQ will be held on the Dimple immediately following the ceremony (rain location is Emerson Dining Hall). \nHonors Convocation is open to the public but seating is limited and on a first-come\, first-served basis.
