Class of 2012
From: Bronx, NY

Did you come to Wheaton knowing you wanted to major in Computer Science?

No, I had no idea what Computer Science or coding was until my Sophomore year of college. I originally wanted to follow the Pre-med track, but I thought well Robots Games and Problem Solving (COMP 115) sounds very interesting and fun, why not give it a chance. I opened the door to a whole new world that semester.

What has been the most interesting class you've taken in the Computer Science Curriculum?

Definitely Senior Sem, working on an open source project has made all the learning I've done more real and tangible. It has also been very interesting to talk about the current and future projects and topics that exist out there in the "real world" related to computer science.

What is your favorite programming language and why?

It tends to be a constant battle between Python and C++. I started off with Python so it has a very special place in my heart, but have spent more classes using C++ and would say I feel more comfortable in C++.
