Journalism Studies

Storytellers. Seekers of the truth. Defenders of the free press. How—and how often—we consume the news has changed, but the need for solid, factual reporting hasn’t. Wheaton journalism majors not only sharpen interview, writing, and editing skills, but they also prepare for multimedia roles by learning about audio, video, design, and creating content for the web. Our majors gain real-world experience through internships with media outlets and PR firms. Wheaton students also participate in the American University Washington Journalism Semester, go abroad with the Boston University London Internship in Journalism, or attend the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies.
