Shopping Near Campus

Location is everything, especially when it comes to shopping. At Wheaton, shopping opportunities at various grocery stores, pharmacies, clothing stores and malls are a few steps off of campus or a short bus ride away.

Walk to: CVS pharmacy, Walgreens, several banks

Take the bus to: Emerald Square Mall, in North Attleboro, Mass., Providence Place mall in Providence, R.I., Roche Bros., Stop ‘n’ Shop. In collaboration with the Greater Attleboro Taunton Regional Transit Authority (GATRA), Wheaton provides free public transportation to all students, staff, and faculty with a Wheaton ID. Board onto this campus favorite route at Wheaton’s Slype.

Take the train to: Boston or Providence. Wheaton is conveniently located between Boston and Providence, providing a myriad opportunities and experiences. The quickest way to travel is by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) train from the Mansfield station, which is easily accessible through the GATRA Route 140 bus route.

Description: A three-floor shopping mall featuring Filene’s, J.C. Penny’s, Sears, The Disney Store, a food court, restaurants and many other shops.

Directions: 25 minutes from campus.
Take 495N to 95S. Take 95S to 295S (Massachusetts exit 4). Take 295S to Route 1S (exit 1A, which is the second exit after you get on 295S). The mall is just ahead on the right.

Located less than five miles from campus, this shopping center features a variety of national retailers, including L.L. Bean and Borders books, as well as several restaurants.

Directions: 20 minutes from campus.
Interstate 495 North to Exit 14A onto Route 1 North. Follow Route 1 North approximately 4 miles to Patriot Place (on the right).

Jill, Sony Style, Ross-Simons, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Dave & Buster’s and National Amusements IMAX Theatre.

Directions: 30 minutes from campus.
From Route 495 South take Route I-95 South to exit 22C—Providence Place, follow signs to the mall.

From Route 495S take exit 7B for Route 24S. Take exit 12 to Route 140S, and then take exit 11B for Galleria Mall Drive. When leaving the mall, make sure to follow signs for 140N.
