When you arrive on Monday, January 21, 2019, between 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., follow these 3 easy steps:
- Follow the signs to Parking Lot 4. Walk to the Emerson Dining Hall to Sign-In and to receive your room keys. This step is required of all new students.
- Proceed to your assigned residence hall, unload and move in!
- You and your families should join us for lunch at noon. A nice way to get acclimated and learn about some of the campus resources.
We are finalizing the details for your January program to ensure you are connected to the Wheaton community. A final schedule will be provided at Check-In on arrival day, in the meantime, students can feel free to use the schedule below to plan accordingly.

12 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Welcome Lunch for New Students & Families ® (Faculty Dining, Emerson) Enjoy a casual lunch with a variety of campus community members there to welcome you to Wheaton.
2 p.m. – 3 p.m. Orientation Team Meeting #1 ® (Lyons Lounge, Balfour-Hood Campus Center) Learn about your schedule over the next two days. Our January Orientation Leaders (OL’s) will get you acclimated to campus, answer your questions and show you around.
3 p.m. – 4 p.m. Stress & Time Management ®
(New Yellow Parlor, Balfour-Hood Campus Center)
4 p.m. – 5 p.m. Orientation Team Meeting #2 ® (Kollet Conference Room & Science A266)
Your academic peer leaders, Preceptors will lead you in preparing for everything academic. These leaders can guide you in propping to this semester and beyond.
5 p.m. – 9 p.m. Off-Campus Dinner & Adventure ® Free off-campus dinner and activity for the new students and their Preceptors and Orientation Leaders. Always a highlight for January admits!

9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Be the One – Bystander Training ® (Chapel Basement) Gain knowledge on taking action to keep the Wheaton community safe.
10:30 a.m. – 1:30 a.m. Preceptor & Dean Advising Meetings ® (Kollet Conference Room & Science A266) First meet individually with your preceptors for a valuable discussion about your goals and the Wheaton experience. Bring your advising folder and any questions you may have. Your appointment time will have been assigned by the Preceptors during the second team meeting. Next, meet with your academic dean to discuss your academic goals at Wheaton, review your spring registration, and finalize your class schedule.
