Lindsay Nason Villone ’08
Alumni Association Board of Directors

Giving back: “I was involved with the Wheaton Tri-State alumni group in New York and helped them plan events throughout the city, which introduced me to a whole new Wheaton network. When I moved to Boston, I missed the level of engagement I had with the Tri-State group, so when the opportunity came up for me to join the board, I was excited to do so. I feel that owe the college a lot. Wheaton helped guide me to my career in fundraising, and introduced me to some of my best friends. I’m excited to give back at a higher level.”

Wheaton influence: “I never considered a career in fundraising until the staff in the Filene Center recommended I do a summer internship with United Way and the YMCA in my hometown in Maine. After that, I was hooked and have spent the last 10 years working in nonprofits.”

Fun fact: “My first job after Wheaton was in New York working for an organization that raised money for Alzheimer’s disease research. Our offices were onboard the Intrepid, a WWII aircraft carrier-turned aerospace museum on the Hudson River, just below the main hangar deck. It was the strangest space for an office, but it makes for a great story at cocktail parties.”
