Theatre and Dance Studies
Offered by the Theatre and Dance Studies department.

Write a script. Audition for a role. Build a set. Choreograph a scene. Being part of a show—from a short play in a black box theatre to a major musical production on the main stage—is fun, fulfilling, and memorable. The grueling work, collaborative efforts, time management, and technical skill involved is also excellent preparation for any career. Wheaton’s theatre and dance studies majors study acting, directing, theatre design and history, dance, dramatic literature, playwriting, and film theory. With a vibrant arts scene on campus, you’ll find many opportunities for on-stage or behind-the-scenes roles.
