Janine is the Social Sciences Liaison who supports faculty and students in:

Janine can help you find books, articles, datasets, and other sources for your research projects, navigate databases and other library resources, and citing your sources. She also can help with various software and technologies including Google Apps, Dedoose, iMovie, Microsoft Office Suite, citation managers, and other classroom technologies. Janine can provide information and digital literacy instruction in your courses, conduct one-on-one research consultations, assist with developing research assignments and other ways of incorporating information literacy into coursework, finding Open Educational Resources (OER) and other course material, as well as assist with introducing technology into the classroom.

Janine holds an MLIS from San Jose State University as well as a BS in Sociology with a minor in Women and Gender Studies and a BA in English Literature both from North Dakota State University. Her professional interests include critical pedagogy, critical library instruction, data visualization, and assessment.  In her free time, Janine enjoys all aspects of food (cooking, eating, reading about, watching), learning about the way the brain works, and watching movies/series about people living in space.
