Major Connections is a program that provides a forum for alumni to connect with students and help them understand what they can do with their major after graduation.  Both declared majors as well as first and second year students are invited, as all can benefit from thinking about the characteristics of the major and their connection to life after Wheaton.
The alumni panelists address many questions, including:

  • Why did you decide to major in the discipline?
  • How did you make the transition from the academic to the working world (or graduate school)?
  •  How do the skills, interests and training acquired through your major continue to influence your life and career choices?

Each year, the Filene Center selects two majors and works with the faculty members within those academic departments to invite alumni to campus.  Major Connections alumni guests have included:

Eli Lovely ’10, Communications & Marketing Director, American-Turkish Council

Jason Kass ’05, CEO, Kass Consulting Group
