The Asian Arts Council Humanities Fellowship Grants Residency Program

The Asian Cultural Council is a foundation supporting cultural exchange in the visual and performing arts between the United States and Asia. An emphasis is placed on awards to artists, scholars and specialists from Asia for research, study and creative work in the United States. Some grants are also made to Americans pursuing similar activities in Asia and to educational and cultural institutions engaged in projects of special significance to Asian-American exchange. Grants are made in the following fields: archaeology, architecture (design, theory, and history), art history, art and architectural conservation, crafts, dance, film, museology, music, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, theater, and video.
Kate Neal Kinley Memorial Fellowship (No Website)
The Kinely Fellowships are open to graduates of the College of Fine and Applied Arts of the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign and to graduates of similar institutions of equal educational standing. Graduates must have majored in art, architecture, dance, landscape architecture, music, theater or urban and regional planning. Three awards will be given each year: a grant of $7,500 in art, architecture, dance, landscape architecture, music, theater or urban and regional planning; another of the same amount in art, architecture or music; and an additional grant of $15,000 in music.
The fellowships will help defray expenses of advanced study in the U.S. or abroad. One or two fellowships of lesser amount may also be granted upon Committee recommendations. Application deadline is usually in early January. For further information and applications, contact:
