The Course Planning Guide is a planning tool designed for you to create a tentative class schedule for 1st semester. Explore academic and honors/scholar interests and list associated courses to create your unique academic pathway.

For the fall semester, you will enroll in 4 courses, one of which is your FYE placement. You have flexibility to choose 3 additional courses. Keep in mind this is a planning tool; you will be able to make changes to your fall semester course schedule after meeting with your peer and faculty advisors at Summer Orientation academic advising meetings.

It would benefit you to print out the Course Planning Guide to populate your thoughts and ideas. To do so, click the three-dot icon in the top right corner and choose Print in the drop-down menu. Alternatively, press Ctrl + P to bring up the print option.  We recommend saving the Course Planning Guide as a PDF to your computer so that you may print multiple copies or refer back to it later on.

Please have your completed Course Planning Guide available to you for your advising meeting at Orientation.

As you consider possible courses, bear in mind two things:

  1. For students entering in the fall semester, your first course will be your FYE. You can find your FYE placement and the time that your class will meet by June 17, 2022. Be mindful of time conflicts when planning out your other courses.
To learn more about FYE selections, titles and course descriptions, please visit the Connected First-Year Experience webpage.
  2. Explore your Academic Interests, like Majors/Minors and Honors/Scholars Programs.
