About
Dr. Elizabeth Pufall Jones has a background in cultural psychology, particularly the processes associated with how individuals navigate and negotiate the multiple cultural worlds in which they live, and how these processes influence youths’ development of their ethnic, racial, and cultural identities. More generally, Elizabeth researches how the multiple systems with which a young person co-acts influence their development. Her research explores the lived experiences of risk-immersed youth, and she is an author on many national reports including Don’t Call Them Dropouts, Don’t Quit on Me, and All of Who I Am. Dr. Pufall Jones received her Ph.D. in Child Development from the Eliot Pearson Department of Human Development and Child Study at Tufts University, her M.A. in Educational Psychology from The University of Colorado Denver, and her B.A. from Smith College.
