Physics and Astronomy students participate in a wide variety of summer internships during their Wheaton careers. Many students spend one summer doing paid work in one of the research labs at Wheaton, but we encourage all of our students to also explore the wider world. Here is a sampling of some places where Wheaton Physics students have recently spent the summer:
- BAE Systems
- Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, Columbia University
- Jet Propulsion Laboratory, NASA
- Sikorsky Aerospace
- University of California, Davis
- United States Geological Survey
- Center for Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets, University of Kansas
- Raytheon
- Center for Ultracold Atoms, MIT
- Bureau of Land Management, United States Department of the Interior
