-Established in 1960 by Sally Terry ’60 and Amanda Tevepaugh ’60 in honor of Professor Holcombe M. Austin, teacher of Philosophy from 1941 to 1972 “…in expression of our thanks for all he has done for us and for many other students,” it is awarded for sustained interest and excellence in Philosophy.
