Windows 8 / 8.1 WiFi Configuration 

Follow the steps below to connect to the WheatonCollege WiFi. Note: The instructions below assume you’re using the Windows 8 / 8.1 Wireless Utility. If you’re using the utility provided by the network card manufacturer, follow their instructions for wireless network configuration. Use the following information:

Network Name: WheatonCollege

Authentication Type: WPA2-PSK

Encryption Type: AES

Network/Encryption Key: wheatoncollege

  1. Open the Windows Wireless Network Configuration utility by double-clicking on the icon in the Notification tray located in the bottom right hand corner.

  2. Select WheatonCollege from the list of networks and click Connect.

  3. Enter in wheatoncollege for the network security key and click Next.

  4. Click on No.
    -
  5. It should now say connected under the WheatonCollege Network.

Windows 7 WiFi Configuration

Follow the steps below to connect to WheatonCollege WiFi. Note: The instructions below assume you’re using the Windows 7 Wireless Utility. If you’re using the utility provided by the network card manufacturer, follow their instructions for wireless network configuration. Use the following information:

Network Name: WheatonCollege

Authentication Type: WPA2-PSK

Encryption Type: AES

Network/Encryption Key: wheatoncollege

1. Open the Windows Wireless Network Configuration utility by double-clicking on the icon in the Notification Tray.

2. Select WheatonCollege from the list of networks and click Connect.

3. Enter in wheatoncollege for the network security key and click OK.

4. Once it has connected you’ll see the notification tray icon change.

Macintosh WiFi Configuration

Follow the instructions below to connect to  WheatonCollege WiFi with your Macintosh.

    1. Click on the AirPort icon in the Menu bar and select WheatonCollege from the list of networks
      -
    2. Enter in the password wheatoncollege-
    3. The icon should now show connected and WheatonCollege will have a checkmark next to it.
