Students are billed electronically per term for their tuition, fees, room, and board, and other miscellaneous expenses. Fall charges are billed mid June, early July and due August 1; spring charges are billed in early December and are due January 1. Subsequent bills reflect any past due balance plus any new activity on the student account. Monthly statements are posted on the Wheaton Student Account Center for all active students unless they had a zero balance in the previous month and no new billing activity.
Student Financial Services does not accept cash payments. If you would like to pay with cash, please visit the Finance Customer Service window located on the second floor of Park Hall.
To initiate a secure online payment go to the Wheaton Student Account Center. Click on “Make a Payment” and then choose Checking/Statement Savings, or Credit Card and follow the instructions. Please note that if you choose to make your payment using a credit card, TMS will charge and retain a convenience fee of 2.99% of the amount charged.
All student accounts are subject to the standard payment due dates unless the College is notified of enrollment in the monthly payment plan described below.
Full payment or acceptable documentation that demonstrates your balance will be fully paid must be received prior to August 1 for the fall term and prior to January 1 for the spring term, in order to move into campus housing or attend classes for the term. Acceptable documentation includes a copy of an award letter for an outside scholarship, a copy of a billing authorization or sponsorship letter and/or enrollment with Tuition Management Systems (TMS) on an approved payment plan. Please note, loans based on the credit worthiness of the borrower may not be deducted without written approval from the lender. A copy of an approval notice or signed promissory note will be accepted as documentation for this type of loan.
Non-Payment of Tuition or Fees
If the payment is not received by the term’s due date, a $100.00 late payment fee may be assessed each month on student accounts not paid in full, not fully covered by financial aid and/or on an approved payment plan. Students who have not met their financial obligations to the College will not be allowed to register for additional courses. Grades, transcripts, and diplomas will be withheld from students whose accounts show overdue balances.
Any student who has selected campus housing will not be permitted to move into their campus residence until their student account is paid, fully covered by financial aid and/or on an approved payment plan.
The College policy requires the withholding of all credits, educational services, issuance of transcripts, and certifications of academic records from any person whose financial obligation to the college (including delinquent balances and liability for damage) is due and/or unpaid. If any overdue obligation is referred for collection by the college or to an outside agency or attorney for collection efforts and/or legal suit, the debt is increased to cover all reasonable costs of collection, including collection agency fees which may be based on a percentage of the balance owed at a maximum of 33 1/3 of the debt, and all collection costs and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees and court costs that the College may incur in such collection efforts. By registering for any class at the College, each student accepts and agrees to be bound by the foregoing College policy as applied to any preexisting or future obligation to the College. The College reserves the right to report to a credit bureau those accounts placed with collection agencies.
Monthly Payment Plan
The Interest-Free Monthly Payment Plan helps families budget education expenses over the course of each term. The $45.00 enrollment fee includes toll-free education payment counseling and 24-hour, automated account access.

Families may budget any amount, up to their full cost of tuition, fees, room, and board. Students will receive separate bills from in the Wheaton Student Account Center on a monthly basis if additional miscellaneous charges are incurred during the year, or if a past due balance remains unpaid.
International Wire Payments
Wheaton College has partnered with Flywire to offer a streamlined way to make international tuition payments. Flywire’s mission is to save international students and their families’ money that would otherwise be lost on bank fees and unfavorable foreign exchange rates. Wheaton College will not accept a wire payment in excess of the amount due on the student account. If a wire payment is received that is in excess of the account balance, the excess amount will be returned to the sender. Families wanting to provide their student with funds for living expenses should transfer funds directly to the student’s personal bank account.
If you are sending your payment by mail, please send your payment at least fifteen business days prior to the term’s due date to avoid late payment fees and student account holds. If you are sending a college savings plan payment, please request your payment from your college savings plan administrator at least 30 days in advance of the term’s due date to avoid late payment fees and student account holds. Check payments can be made online at www.wheatoncollege.afford.com with no processing fee. Online payments are credited to the student’s account in real time.
