Technology Support recommends certain computer brands and vendors based upon their performance with our network. These vendors are Apple and Dell. You are certainly not restricted to these vendors. You are, however, required to meet the minimum standards for your computer to be compatible with our network.
Technology Support has special arrangements with Apple and Dell for education sales. We would be glad to advise you, however your purchase is made directly with the vendor.
We would like to inform students that you do not need to purchase Microsoft Office (unless you want to own your copy) or Anti-Virus software as Wheaton has a site license that you are able to use, not own, for Microsoft Office and ESET NOD32. Once on campus you will be able to download and install these products free of charge. Read more about purchasing Microsoft products.
