Proposal

Automatic extraction of declarative information from scientific articles is useful for indexing and searching large document collections.  One untapped source of additional information for this task is expertly curated text about the documents in the form of citation text.  The WRP student will assist in the extraction of citation text from citing documents and will integrate the information into our system.
