Peer Tutoring
Writing is more collaborative than we sometimes think. All writers, at some point during the writing process, receive feedback from at least one other person. Sometimes feedback is simply testing out ideas and approaches; sometimes it's help organizing a progression of ideas or checking to see if an argument is sufficiently supported. Our peer tutors work with writers on all of these aspects of writing and more. All of our tutors have successfully completed Education 220, a course in peer tutoring, with Professor Dearing. They're great listeners who have a knack for helping other writers to improve their drafts.
Tutors work in the Kollett Center from Sunday through Thursday evenings. Click here for their schedule, or better yet, why not just stop by one evening and say hi?
