Welcome to the WIIH
The Wheaton Institute for the Interdisciplinary Humanities (WIIH) invites scholars, performers, and other distinguished guests based on an annual theme that connects the humanities to other fields of study. Through the WIIH, visitors share their expertise in large venues and intimate settings with members of the Wheaton community. Via lectures, performances, exhibitions, and discussions, guests explore ideas more deeply by sharing them with expert practitioners who are teacher-scholars; by instructing undergraduates on innovative intellectual inquiries; and by creating a forum for thoughtful exchange with an educated audience.
Wheaton College is a selective liberal arts institution located between Boston and Providence at the hub of American higher education. Faculty and students directly engage with each other to explore interconnected academic disciplines. Undergraduates at Wheaton pursue ambitious goals in a collaborative and inclusive scholarly community that promotes intellectual excellence.
