The Web Team is working with departments to move their sites to Wheaton's new content management tool... and doing more than that in the process.
If your department has a site now, this is an opportunity to streamline it and make it easier to maintain, while improving service to your constituents.
This is a facilitated process for departments that are renovating and converting their existing site to Word Press, or that are launching a new one. If you're renovating, you'll take the best parts of your current site and incorporate exciting new possibilities made possible by the new college's recent move to WordPress. Your site will work better for you--and managing it will be simpler, too.
This is a great time to ensure that your colleagues understand what's involved in making your department's communications effective and visible. We hope you'll leave us feeling jazzed about your site and committed to using it to provide excellent service and communication.
Where? We will meet at the Web Team offices.
When? Ongoing.
Why? Frontier will be decommissioned in June.
How? We'd like to have a minimum of two full department conversations--one to set up the work plan--and one for us to sign-off on your new site. In between, you will need to do some work.
