Using the older Web Editor
Anatomy of your index page: Click through to select the web page you wish to edit.
Web page icons: The results of the previous step should show you a list of pages you can acces and edit.
- The page icon (edit): This brings you to the actual editing screen where you can work directly on the page.
- The folder with red arrow icon (go up): This icon allows you to navigate into sub-folders housing the pages.
- The magnifying glass icon (view): This will open a new window and show you a page in its web format.

Choose the page you wish to edit.
- Page Title: You can change the page title if the one that appears is not correct, but do not include any punctuation or HTML.
- MetaDescription: Providing a quick description of your page is a good tool for you to keep track of your pages, but it also serves as the description users see in the search engine results.
- Crumb: You can also provide navigation through "bread crumbs" or a "crumb trail" below the page banner. (Think of Hansel and Gretel leaving a trail of crumbs so they can find their way home.) The crumbs allow your visitors to navigate back up your site after they have drilled down through one or more levels of folders. At the very least your home page should always have this. Setting up a system of crumbs is a site design decision you should make with your site administrator. Crumbs can be turned on or off for whole sites, for individual folders or for single pages.
- Review cycle: You can determine how often you want this site to be reviewed by using the drop down menu.
- Text box: This is where the magic happens. Examples for inserting images and links are on the bottom left of your screen. *Please review the Help Page for formatting instructions and help inserting links, images, and tables.
