  • Soldiering On: An Evening of Plays by Samuel Beckett and Eugene Ionesco

    October 30–November 1 and November 6–8, 2014
    Three of Beckett’s exquisite short works—Footfalls, Act without Words II, and Come and Go—will be teamed with Ionesco’s madcap “anti-play” The Bald Soprano (newly translated by playwright Tina Howe) in this showcase of two master innovators of the modern stage.   • Dance Company Auditions

    Auditions for the Wheaton College Dance Company will take place Tuesday, September 3, 2013. Artistic Director Andy Taylor-Blenis will start with a warm-up, then teach a variation before dancers are split up into groups to showcase what they learned.     Written and performed by guest artist Steve Kidd, a resident equity actor and education director at the Gamm Theatre in Pawtucket, R.I. Sigh/Omelas, a drama inspired by his work at AmeriKids, earned Kidd a Lewis Hine Award in 2008 for dedicated service to children in need.
