  • What Happens When

    April 9-12 & 16-19, 2015
Written by Charlotte Meehan, directed by Stephanie Burlington-Daniels
What Happens When was developed with nine students in a course called Devising Theatre for Social Change, which Charlotte Meehan specifically designed for a student ensemble to create scenes using Sociodrama and Theatre of the Oppressed techniques. The play, a multimedia montage of scenarios revolving around the before-and-after moments of sexual encounters in campus life, darts back and forth between early childhood and present day to shed light on misunderstandings that persist, discussion that needs to increase, and violence that must stop. This project is sponsored in part by a Department of Justice grant. For ticket information and reservations ($10 general, $5 with a Wheaton ID & seniors), contact the Watson Box Office at 508-286-3575 or by email at boxoffice@wheatoncollege.edu.
