It is open generally for regular evening hours, but it does vary each semester.

Available Equipment

  • 9 Dell desktop computers with astronomical imaging software
  • Remote access to telescopes and CCD cameras, including 5 12" Meade LX200s, 1 18" Centurion, 6 SBIG ST8E cameras.


The Observatory is primarily used for astronomy courses, and the lab is dedicated to the Observatory's imaging capabilities. Evening office hours allow students a chance to practice imaging with some supervision from more experienced students.
