Deadline for purchasing technology in FY14

With departments completing their fiscal year purchases, we wanted to take this opportunity to remind the community of how purchases of technology equipment (i.e. iPads, printers, projectors , and laptops) should occur.
Federal regulations require that the college inventory its equipment and track this equipment during its lifetime. LIS Technology Support maintains the inventory for all technology equipment for the college. Therefore, in order to accurately track these items all purchases and disposals should go through LIS. In order for the equipment to be charged to fiscal year 2014 it must be received by June 30th. LIS Technology Support needs appropriate lead time to ensure that goods are received by this date. The deadline for ordering any technology or software will be June 2, 2014. Any orders received after June 2nd will be placed in July and charged to FY15 funds.
Technology accessories such as cell phone cases, laptop bags, and iPad cases are not considered equipment and should be purchased on your college p-card.
Please be aware that any equipment and related accessories purchased by the college are college property and must be returned should you leave Wheaton. This includes iPads, iPhones, laptops, etc. and all related accessories.
The equipment may not be purchased from the college upon your departure.
