Learn how to invest
Posted on April 10, 2014
On Monday, April 14, a representative from TIAA-CREF will present a workshop on “Money at Work 1: Foundations of Investing” for Wheaton staff and faculty. What's the formula for a better investing strategy? You plus knowledge. Elizabeth O’Boyle, our TIAA-CREF representative, will help us understand how to achieve our retirement goals.
It doesn’t matter how old you are, where you are in your career or how much you make. Reaching retirement goals requires the same things: spend less, save more. It’s really that simple. TIAA-CREF’s workshop leader will help you figure out which investment vehicles are right for you:
• Discover what stocks, annuities, mutual funds and IRAs are, and which ones best fit your needs
• Learn about risk and finding your risk tolerance
• See how the same savings principles work for short or long-term goals
Join us as we learn the definitions of – and differences among – investment vehicles, and how to help choose the right ones for your financial goals and risk tolerance.
