Season of Service 2013

Posted on October 11, 2013

On Friday, September 6th approximately 50 students armed with gardening tools and cleaning supplies marched upon Norton and surrounding areas.
Their assignment was to perform acts of kindness for 6 local community partners.  This particular Friday afternoon began our office's Season of Service.
Season of Service is a semester of community service opportunities which engage Wheaton students, many of them first year in volunteering to help our local community partners.
These partners range from Winslow farm, a local animal sanctuary, clearing a garden at Crystal Spring Earth Learning Center, preparing a classroom for local pre-schools, sorting food
at The Greater Boston Food Bank  ,and lastly being part of the special ops team at Waterfire, a local living art festival in Providence, R.I.  By the end of the semester, over 200+ students
would have volunteered for more than 18 community partners from all over the Norton community and beyond.  For more information please see the Volunteer Opportunities page or
