Reflections of Peace Mural Dedication
Posted on November 10, 2011
On September 11th, the Wheaton campus contributed over 600 hours of service to our neighbors in memory of those who died on 9/11/01. On Veteran's Day, Friday, November 11,2011, Wheaton students not only concluded a week of Middle East awareness events dedicated to the memory of faculty member Jerry Murphy, but they also dedicated the interfaith peace mural, in which they had a hand in designing with Israeli-American artist Diana Gilon. One of the most meaningful ways we can honor our fallen heroes, colleagues, mentors and friends is to work tirelessly for peace.
Please stop by the New Yellow Parlor in Balfour Hood to view the Peace Mural. For more information please contact Vereene Parnell at x3370.
