How to Apply
Applications for SILCS 2012 are accepted between January 2 and February 10, 2012.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be a college junior, with one year of undergraduate studies ahead of them at their institution. The extra year before graduation is crucial to the goals of the program, as it provides the necessary support and mentoring needed for the application to graduate school.

Application:
There are five parts to the application. These include:
- The application form
- The sponsor form, which should be filled out by a faculty member at the applicant's home institution, who agrees to help mentor the applicant through the year after SILCS ends
- An official transcript
- A 10-15 page paper that is an example of your best work
- A survey to be completed once the rest of the application has been submitted

The sponsor form may be faxed to (508) 286-3745 but please DO NOT fax the official transcript.
Applicants must complete a survey. Answers on the survey will not be matched with individual applications for admissions purposes, but completion of the survey is required for each applicant. Survey details will be sent to applicants once they have submitted the application.
