Historical Studies League

The purpose of the Wheaton College League of Historical Studies will be to provide students who have a common interest in history (generally history majors and minors, though all interested students are welcome) the chance to meet and engage one another with new ideas. The club will promote and aid active participation in historical research among students. The organization will also be responsible for holding events that relate to the various historical holidays not only in the United States, but also in the broader world. Additionally, the organization will also explore cinematic interpretations of history. Finally, the club will function as a student-run organization that promotes and aids the Department of History at Wheaton College. Through the club, students will achieve a greater sense of ownership over the events pertaining to the study of history.
