Middle East Awareness

Middle East Awareness is solely dedicated to spreading awareness on campus regarding the Middle East. Our events try to address the diverse political, religious, historical and cultural facets of the region. We do not carry a political agenda but rather strive to provide a balanced perspective of the Middle East. While the speakers we bring often have their own partisan views, MEA emphasizes providing Wheaton with a forum for respectful dialogue. We have had public displays, group discussions, a photo exhibition and workshop, and speakers. These arise from our recognition that different approaches attract different students. We are constantly seeking for new ways to engage the students and community with the Middle East.
