The College provides a single priced meal plan for all students called "Carte Blanche". This program offers flexibility, convenience, and continuous dining and extensive menu alternatives. The dining program was designed to accommodate the varied schedules of Wheaton students. More information is available through dining services.
The College provides wireless and wired internet access along with unlimited local and 800 number calling telephone service. In addition, each student has a personal voice mailbox for messages. While the College does subsidize these services, there is a $72.00 charge per semester.
Indirect costs are paid by the family and include items such as books, supplies, personal expenses, travel, and other miscellaneous items. While indirect costs are unique to each student, Wheaton estimates that families should budget approximately $2,000 per year for indirect costs.
Tuition Management Systems Inc. charges an enrollment fee of $65.00 to participate in the interest free monthly payment plan.
According to state law, all students must be covered by a health insurance plan with comparable coverage as a Mass Qualifying Student Health Insurance Plan (QSHIP). To ensure that all students have the required health insurance coverage, students are charged for the Wheaton College Student Health Plan ($1,441.00 for 2012-2013). In order to waive enrollment in the Student Health Plan, a completed on-line Student Health Plan Waiver Form verifying enrollment in a comparable health plan by a U.S. health provider must be completed by the first week of September. Any student with a non US health insurance provider will be required to enroll in the Student Health Plan. The purpose of this policy is to ensure timely and quality health care while attending Wheaton College. Students who do not submit the Health Insurance Waiver will be assessed the full year premium. You may begin to access the 2013-2014 Health Insurance Waiver online in July.
Wheaton College offers an OPTIONAL Accident Insurance for any student who waives the Primary Wheaton Health Plan. The purpose of the Optional Plan is to provide low cost secondary insurance coverage.
