Jane Young visits the Attleboro Arts Museum

Posted on March 30, 2012

Jane Young visited the Attleboro Arts Museum on March 24th, 2012 to present "Potted Pals, The Care of House Plants" during their 2012 Flower Show.

Young discussed the basic needs of house plants such as water, light, humidity, fertilizer and pest control.

Audience members inquired about the challenges they face with their own plants including Cyclamen with dying leaves, Orchids that won't bloom, and dish gardens that appear to have plants that shouldn't cohabit the same container.

Young said, "I love presenting to the public, particularly at fund raisers that benefit the community. My goal is to educate and to entertain—not necessarily in that order.  This audience had a great sense of humor and loved knowing that the best tool for pest control is my husband's toothbrush!"

Many attendees were interested in visiting Wheaton during a Greenhouse open house.
