Transportation

There are many eco-friendly and cost-saving ways to travel near Wheaton and around the region.

  • GATRA - Bus
    Show your Wheaton ID and ride for free on the Greater Attleboro Taunton Regional Transit Authority (GATRA) bus system. Click on the following bus routes to learn more:

  • MBTA – Train
    Wheaton is conveniently located between Boston and Providence, providing a myriad of opportunities and experiences. The quickest way to travel is by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) train. Click here to learn how to travel by train.
  • Shopping Taxi
    Offered on most Fridays throughout the academic year, the Shopping Taxi allows you to pay $1 each way to popular shopping plazas in the area: Mansfield Crossing, Target and Wrentham Outlets.
  • ELCtrips
    Join your classmates to experience local culture. In the past, ELCtrips have included everything from Wicked in Boston, a New England Revolution game in Foxboro, and WaterFire in Providence. Students can purchase discounted event tickets throughout the year. (Formally known as "Boston Providence Connection")
  • Car Services
    For short travel, you can always call a taxi.
  • Vehicle Rentals
    For long road trips or weekend travel, you should consider renting a vehicle.
  • Flying to/from Wheaton
    There are two airports near Wheaton and both provide convenient, eco-friendly options to reaching/leaving Wheaton.
